The Online MBA program at Temple University’s Fox School of Business ranks ninth nationally among graduate business programs, according to the 2014 Best Online Business Programs rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

The Fox School climbed 19 places, from No. 28 last year to No. 9 in 2014, the second year in which U.S. News numerically ranked online programs. This year, U.S. News ranked 225 graduate online business programs from across the nation. The Fox Online MBA is the highest-ranked program in Pennsylvania and Greater Philadelphia.

U.S. News bases its rankings, released Jan. 8, on student engagement; admissions selectivity; peer reputation; faculty credentials and training; and student services and technology. The Fox School scored particularly high in peer reputation (No. 8).

“The Fox Online MBA not only features a dynamic learning environment and premier technology. It also provides our most important assets: elite faculty and an accredited, high-impact curriculum,” Dean M. Moshe Porat said. “I continue to be proud of the Fox Online and Digital Learning team for the many innovations they’ve made to distance learning and to their steadfast commitment to delivering the same quality of education in online formats.”

In the Fox Online MBA program, students can earn their degree in as little as 20 months; engage in course activities in a 24/7, on-demand, mobile-friendly format; and collaborate with faculty and peers through WebEx web-conferencing technology.

The program begins with a weeklong residency on Temple University’s Main Campus that includes a leadership course, networking, team building, professional development and special events. Each course is delivered over four weeks, and the program has multiple start dates throughout the year.

Merit scholarships are available, as are scholarship incentive programs for Temple alumni and for corporate partners that have two or more employees enrolled in the program at one time. Financial aid counseling is offered to all students, and the Fox School and Temple support the Yellow Ribbon Program for military personnel and veterans.
