The Fox School of Business MBA program – with a 97.7 percent job-placement rate – is ranked fifth nationally among business schools with the highest percentages of full-time 2012 MBAs employed within three months after graduation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The designation is part of the 2014 edition of U.S. News’ Best Graduate Schools, released March 12. Among full-time MBA programs nationwide, the Fox School, at No. 58, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School are the only business schools in Greater Philadelphia to be ranked.
Fox’s Part-time Professional MBA again ranked as the region’s top program, at No. 46 out of the 325 part-time programs nationwide. In specialty rankings, Fox is No. 23 among MBA programs with an international focus.
This fall, the Fox School is launching a full-time Global MBA, which will feature three-week, faculty-led international immersions during each academic year. In another recent U.S. News ranking of online business programs, Fox’s Online MBA is No. 28 nationally and seventh in student services and technology.
“The continued recognition we receive across all of our MBA programs emphasizes the fact that our students benefit from access to the best faculty, deep global connections, superb experiential learning and premier services,” Dean M. Moshe Porat said. “Our Global, Part-time, Online and Executive MBA programs offer distinct attributes based on our commitment to provide curricula that develop skills and competencies designed to improve job performance and promote career advancement. All of our programs are dedicated to providing an excellent return on investment.”
In addition to international immersions in emerging economies through the Fox School’s new Global MBA, students will provide professional-grade strategic solutions to paying clients through the capstone Enterprise Management Consulting (EMC) Practice and have the option of pursuing a dual degree in a specialized masters program.
Fox’s renowned Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) facilitated 100 percent internship placement for full-time MBAs in 2012, as well as the nearly 98 percent job-placement rate for full-time MBAs. CSPD is a comprehensive resource focused on preparing students for entry into the professional business environment. This is accomplished through internships, mentoring, workshops and other professional development opportunities that complement classroom instruction. CSPD serves both Fox undergraduates and graduate students.
“The integration of a unique professional development practicum into the MBA curriculum, combined with CSPD’s three-pronged Professional Development Model, has proven its effectiveness,” CSPD Executive Director Corinne Snell said. “This strategy – a multi-faceted approach with a focus on personal development, career/industry awareness and impression management – truly makes a difference for Fox MBAs and their career search and progression.”
